BOOK MY PRIVATE MUSIC CONSULTATION

Hey Neighbor,

I have a handful of spots open in my private coaching schedule for adult students here in Castle Rock.

You don’t need to be an accomplished singer or guitar player. You can be starting completely from scratch. What matters is that learning music means something to you—and you’re ready to give it a real place in your life.

I don’t mean that you need professional ambitions or that we can’t have fun doing this. We will. I mean you care about becoming good, you’re willing to practice, and you want to learn from someone who knows how to get you there. After more than thirty years of coaching, that distinction really matters to me.

There are plenty of places to take music lessons. Most of them are designed primarily for children, casual students, or people looking for the least expensive way to get started.

There’s nothing wrong with that. But some people want more.

  • Maybe you’ve wanted to sing for years, but you’ve never believed you had the voice for it.
  • Maybe you bought a guitar, learned a few chords, got frustrated, and put it away.
  • Maybe you’ve taken lessons before, but they never seemed to lead anywhere.
  • Maybe you can already sing or play and you’re tired of being almost as good as you know you could be.

Or maybe you’ve reached a point in your life where you’re simply ready to stop saying “someday,” and start learning now.

You don’t have to want a music career. You don’t need to audition for anything. You don’t need to have started when you were twelve. You just want to learn properly.

And if you’re starting from zero, good coaching matters more, not less.

The beginning is where you develop the habits, understanding, and practice skills that everything else will be built on. It’s also where a lot of people waste months—or years—trying to piece everything together from disconnected lessons and YouTube videos.

They assume they lack talent. My experience is: they’ve never had a clear plan.

 A Little About Me...

I’m Daniel Vigil - most people call me Dan.

I’m a working singer-songwriter, performer, vocal coach, and guitar instructor. I’ve spent decades teaching, coaching, performing, and studying how people develop difficult skills.

My background includes advanced vocal training with Steven Memel (vocal coach to Adam Levine, Sara Bareilles) and years of work with singers, musicians, songwriters, and performing artists.

Before music became the center of my professional life, I built successful martial arts schools and coached thousands of students and athletes, from complete beginners to high-level competitors. Combat sports are unforgiving. If your training method doesn’t work, you find out the moment someone starts hitting back.

Coaching in that environment taught me to break complicated skills into manageable pieces, identify the exact point where someone is failing, and design practice that holds up under pressure. It also taught me that telling someone to “try harder” is often what coaches do when they haven’t figured out what’s actually wrong.

Music is considerably less violent, but the learning process isn’t all that different. :)

Whether someone is learning to compete in combat sports, sing, play guitar, write a song, or walk confidently onto a stage, the central problem is usually the same: They know where they want to end up, but no one has shown them how to get from here to there.

When someone is struggling, I don’t simply tell them to practice more. I look for the missing skill, misunderstanding, or practice habit keeping them stuck.

Then we fix it, progress resumes, and people improve much faster than they thought possible.

Practice Plans Tailored for You.

I don’t teach everyone the same songs in the same order from the same book. We start with the music that moves you - the songs that you’re passionate about.

From there, I determine the skills you need, the order in which you need them, and how to practice them effectively within your schedule.

Depending on your goals, our work might include:

  • Vocal technique and healthy voice development
  • Acoustic or electric guitar
  • Singing while playing guitar
  • Song selection and interpretation
  • Performance skills and confidence
  • Songwriting and artist development
  • Personalized practice coaching
  • Direct feedback, accountability, and measurable goals

You won’t leave each session with a random collection of things to practice. You’ll understand what you’re working on, why it matters, and how it moves you closer to the musician you want to become.

What Students Say:

Rusty Zane

"I thought I had a bad voice, but really I just didn't know how to sing. And once I learned just a few techniques it made all the difference in the world."

George DIckert

"I had a hit a plateau. Dan provided a progression of skills that made sense for me."

Othello James

"I was already singing and recording professionally, but Dan made a HUGE difference in how I sing, play, and perform. He's the best in Colorado."

Here's My Invitation:

I’m offering a limited number of free private music consultations for adults in the Castle Rock area.

Tell me what you want to be able to do. Tell me what you’ve tried, what has frustrated you, and what you think might be standing in your way. I’ll give you my honest advice about the best way to get where you want to go. Maybe that path includes private coaching with me. Maybe it doesn’t.

Either way, you’ll leave with a clearer idea of what your next step should be.

This is not a free lesson. It’s also not a disguised sales ambush.

It’s a focused conversation about where you are, where you want to go, and what it will realistically take to close that distance. If I believe I can help, and it feels like a good fit to both of us, we can talk about my availability, how private coaching works, and the investment involved.

That’s it.

If music has been sitting on your “someday” list for long enough, book a consultation and tell me what you want to do.

Maybe I’m the person who can help you finally do it.
